Big changes are blooming here at Dors Garden. After a wonderful first chapter at my bricks and mortar store here in lovely Ross-on-Wye, I am getting ready to close this physical space to focus on my specialised floral services. My final day open to the public will be this Saturday the 15th. While I am sad to be leaving my bricks and mortar shop, I am incredibly excited to shift my energy toward creating more stunning dried and preserved floral displays for weddings and events, as well as expanding my unique resin preservation service for your fresh flower memories.
I am so grateful for all of your support during this first chapter and hope you will join me for the next part of my Dor's Garden adventure.

Phone camera dump! Shop hours have been variable as I keep up with fabulous resin orders, wedding floral designs, husband birthday celebrations, antics at RHS Malvern with Mum and garden design projects.

In a stunning plot twist, Christmas and New Year have vanished in the blink of an eye! We've had an utterly ridiculous time at the shop, filled with festive shenanigans, workshops, and enough wreaths to adorn an entire fairy realm. Don't forget, Dor's garden is open on New Year's Day until 3 pm, and the next day, before I retreat into hibernation until Jan 12th to recover from a pesky chest infection, celebrate my big 37 and gear up for the shop's annual metamorphosis and restock. As I embark on my final year on the high street, expect a new direction for the business, with a focus on dried floral arrangements, wedding flowers, and preservation techniques that will leave you mesmerized. So, here's the utterly absurd recap you've all been waiting for... Just as life was coming together, October decided to drop a grenade called 'Planting Season' and suddenly I'm juggling 12 gardens like a circus pro! We knew our home lease would likely be up in the coming year, but who needs stability when you can be given a surprise notice, right? In all seriousness, we’ve had a fantastic 9 years there and our landlady has been great, just really awkward timing with my workload! Oh, and let's not forget the cherry on top - a roundabout romance with a car that wasn't mine! All this chaos means my shop has not been open as much as it should be and it will be closing its doors in early 2027, but don't worry, I'll still be providing workshops, selling online, at fairs and designing weddings and preserving flowers like a boss!
And, if you need a break from the absurdity, join me for a sane wreath-making workshop this festive season? Foliage is ordered and arriving next week! Jingle all the way x

I'm thrilled to share my first attempt at drying fresh flowers, and I think it turned out amazing! What are your thoughts?

These dried blooms are going to make a stunning box frame arrangement for the shop. They dried even better than I expected. I've learned a few things to improve next time, but it's a great step towards offering a preservation service for special occasions. Turning meaningful flowers into lasting keepsakes.

Resin experiments are coming soon!
